Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of public infrastructure, roads, and drainage systems.
- Operate heavy machinery and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in traffic control and crowd management during large public events or projects.
- Ensure strict adherence to all OSHA safety regulations and city protocols.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and the public regarding project status and site safety.
- Load and unload construction materials and supplies with precision and care.
- Document work completed and report any infrastructure issues or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in construction, maintenance, or government service is highly preferred.
- Valid Class C Texas Driverβs License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments.
