Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in person, via phone, and email with inquiries regarding driver's licenses, vehicle registrations, and titles.
- Process license applications, renewals, and identification card requests accurately and efficiently.
- Verify documentation, update customer records in the internal database, and ensure data integrity.
- Resolve customer complaints and escalations with patience and professionalism, adhering to departmental policies.
- Assist with general administrative duties such as filing, scheduling appointments, and maintaining lobby organization.
- Stay updated on changes to state laws and DMV procedures to provide accurate information to the public.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive personal information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a high-traffic public service environment.
- Knowledge of California Vehicle Code or DMV operations is highly preferred.
