As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for thousands of visitors and motorists. Your role is vital in ensuring our office runs efficiently while providing exceptional service to the residents of El Paso.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, including drivers, vehicle owners, and the general public, ensuring a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
- Process vehicle registrations, title transfers, license renewals, and related DMV transactions accurately and efficiently using state computer systems.
- Answer high-volume phone inquiries regarding status updates, documentation requirements, and office hours.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues with patience and diplomacy, escalating complex matters to supervisors when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and assist in the preparation of daily reports.
- Enforce traffic laws and DMV regulations during inspections or when directing traffic within the facility.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of law enforcement and administrative staff to ensure office operations run smoothly.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service, public facing, or administrative support roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex procedures in simple terms.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain any necessary state-specific security clearances.
