Responsibilities
- Assist customers with driver license renewals, vehicle registrations, and title transfers efficiently and accurately.
- Answer high-volume phone inquiries and resolve complex customer issues regarding DMV policies and procedures.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate transaction records in the state database.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor while managing queues and directing customers to appropriate service windows.
- Stay updated on changes in state traffic laws, vehicle titling regulations, and licensing requirements to provide accurate information.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline service delivery and improve overall customer satisfaction scores.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree or certification in customer service or business administration is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service, call center operations, or public administration.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn proprietary database management systems quickly.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, to meet public demand.
- Must pass a background check and possess a valid driver’s license.
