Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency calls (police, fire, EMS) using CAD systems
- Dispatch appropriate emergency services with precise location and incident details
- Maintain radio communication with field units during active incidents
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions to callers when applicable
- Document all call information accurately in compliance with state regulations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during large-scale emergencies
- Participate in continuous training drills and scenario simulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 1 year customer service or call center experience
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong multitasking skills under pressure
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
