Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray scanners and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Operate advanced security technology including CT scanners and explosive detection systems
- Enforce TSA regulations while maintaining courteous and professional passenger interactions
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security protocols
- Participate in continuous training on security procedures and emerging threats
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass thorough background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must pass TSA's Pre-Employment Assessment and security screening
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- No felony convictions and clean driving record (if applicable)
