Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency disaster response operations during natural disasters
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness plans for high-risk scenarios
- Train city staff and public on emergency protocols and safety procedures
- Analyze risk assessments and recommend infrastructure improvements
- Manage emergency supply chain logistics and resource allocation
- Lead public awareness campaigns for disaster preparedness
- Collaborate with FEMA and state emergency management teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of emergency management or public safety experience
- FEMAI 100/200/300/400 certifications required
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean record
- Experience with GIS mapping and emergency software (e.g., WebEOC)
- Strong crisis communication and public speaking abilities
- Ability to work 24/7 during emergency activations
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
