Responsibilities
- Coordinate disaster response protocols across federal/state/local agencies
- Develop emergency preparedness plans for natural disasters and public threats
- Lead crisis communication with public officials and citizens
- Manage grant funding for emergency infrastructure projects
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analysis
- Train first responders on emergency procedures
- Maintain compliance with FEMA and state regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years crisis response or government emergency management experience
- FEMA Professional Development Series (PDS) certification
- Active Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Advanced knowledge of NIMS/ICS frameworks
- Strong GIS mapping and data analysis skills
- Colorado driver's license with clean record
