Responsibilities
- Manage emergency calls and dispatch police, fire, and medical units
- Maintain accurate radio communication with field personnel
- Enter and update critical incident data in CAD/RMS systems
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via EMD protocols
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Document all interactions with precise detail and professionalism
- Operate emergency communication equipment under pressure
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year call center or dispatch experience
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- EMD or APCO certification preferred
- Proficient in computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
