Responsibilities
- Provide advanced emergency medical response and transport services during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Operate emergency vehicles safely and efficiently in high-pressure nighttime conditions
- Administer pre-hospital medical care to patients in accordance with protocols
- Maintain detailed patient care reports and documentation
- Collaborate with hospital staff and law enforcement during emergencies
- Conduct equipment checks and ensure ambulance readiness
- Participate in continuous training and skill development programs
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana EMT-Basic or Paramedic certification required
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of emergency medical services experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts
- Successfully pass background check and drug screening
- CPR/BLS certification maintained throughout employment
- Ability to lift 150+ pounds and work in physically demanding conditions
