As an Entry Level Clerk, you will be the face of our department, assisting the public and ensuring the smooth operation of our administrative functions.
Responsibilities
- Customer Assistance: Greet visitors, answer phone inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate department or personnel in a professional and courteous manner.
- Document Management: Process, file, and maintain accurate records and documents in both digital and physical formats.
- Data Entry: Input and update information into computer systems and databases with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Office Support: Perform general clerical duties including copying, scanning, and preparing correspondence or reports.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Communicate effectively with other city departments to facilitate information flow and resolve service requests.
- Compliance: Adhere to all city policies, procedures, and safety regulations while performing daily tasks.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
