Responsibilities
- Manage Incoming Communications: Process and route incoming mail, email, and faxes to appropriate departments promptly.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule and coordinate meetings, including setting up conference rooms and preparing agendas for federal officials.
- Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and prepare routine reports, memos, and correspondence using Microsoft Office Suite.
- FOIA Support: Assist with the processing of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests under supervision.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and secure digital and physical filing systems for sensitive government documents.
- General Office Support: Answer phones professionally and provide general administrative support to the federal team.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required; some college coursework is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior federal or professional experience required. We value potential and attitude over experience.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong typing skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with government personnel.
- Background Check: Must be willing and able to pass a standard federal background investigation and security clearance check.
- Reliability: Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a drug screen.
