Responsibilities
- Administrative Assistance: Draft correspondence, prepare reports, and manage incoming mail in accordance with federal protocols.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate, confidential records and perform data entry into secure federal databases.
- Public Contact: Greet visitors, answer phones, and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Research Support: Conduct research on federal regulations and veteran benefits to assist senior staff.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule appointments, arrange conference rooms, and take minutes for internal meetings.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for federal employment.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required; an Associate's degree is a plus.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Integrity: Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain a favorable background clearance.
