Responsibilities
- Manage incoming correspondence, including mail, faxes, and emails, with a focus on accuracy and timely response.
- Organize and maintain both physical and digital filing systems to ensure easy retrieval of records and documents.
- Assist the public and city employees with inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions, providing exceptional customer service.
- Perform data entry tasks using internal government software and databases to update records and generate reports.
- Prepare memos, correspondence, and meeting materials under minimal supervision.
- Support senior staff with administrative tasks, scheduling, and special projects as assigned.
- Ensure strict adherence to confidentiality protocols and government regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or coursework in Business Administration is a plus.
- Minimum of 0-2 years of general administrative experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new government-specific software quickly.
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
