Responsibilities
- Perform General Office Duties: Answer telephones, greet visitors, and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments in a professional manner.
- Data Entry & Record Keeping: Input, verify, and maintain accurate data in various state databases and filing systems.
- Document Management: Draft, proofread, and distribute memos, letters, and reports using standard office software.
- Customer Assistance: Assist the public with information requests and resolve routine administrative issues efficiently.
- Inventory & Supplies: Monitor office supply levels and place orders as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support Special Projects: Assist senior staff with ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: No prior experience necessary. We value potential and work ethic over past job history.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency and typing skills (30+ wpm) are preferred but not strictly required.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, Monday through Friday.
