Responsibilities
- Administrative Support: Provide general clerical support to department managers and staff, including answering phones and greeting visitors.
- Document Processing: Accurately process, file, and maintain a wide range of government documents and records.
- Data Entry: Enter and update information into internal databases and county systems with high attention to detail.
- Customer Service: Assist the public with inquiries regarding city services, permits, and procedures in a professional and courteous manner.
- Record Keeping: Organize physical and electronic files to ensure easy retrieval and compliance with public record laws.
- Inventory Management: Assist in tracking office supplies and equipment for assigned departments.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Experience: No prior government experience necessary; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain accuracy in data entry.
