Responsibilities
- Greet visitors, citizens, and vendors at the front desk with a welcoming and professional demeanor.
- Perform accurate data entry into city databases and maintain organized filing systems.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls to appropriate departments or personnel.
- Process incoming mail, prepare outgoing packages, and distribute documents efficiently.
- Assist the public with basic inquiries and direct them to the correct resources.
- Perform routine clerical tasks such as scanning, photocopying, and formatting reports.
- Support department supervisors with special projects and administrative needs as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A valid Class C Texas Driver’s License and a clean driving record are mandatory.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to learn government regulations and office procedures.
