Responsibilities
- Records Management: Organize, index, and maintain physical and digital files in compliance with municipal archival standards.
- Customer Assistance: Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and phone inquiries, directing them to the appropriate departments with professionalism.
- Data Entry: Accurately input, update, and verify data into the City’s central management systems and databases.
- Document Processing: Prepare, proofread, and distribute internal memos, reports, and official correspondence.
- Office Support: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, manage inventory for office supplies, and assist with special projects as assigned by supervisors.
- Compliance: Ensure all administrative activities adhere to local, state, and federal government regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Public Administration is a plus.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with data management software.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
