Responsibilities
- Assist the public with inquiries regarding permits, licenses, and general government services in a polite and professional manner.
- Process and review incoming applications and documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with county regulations.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with department heads, colleagues, and the general public via phone, email, and in-person.
- Perform basic data entry and administrative support tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on government procedures and policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or related field preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a valid California Driver's License (if required for specific departmental roles).
- Pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
