Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors, citizens, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls and inquiries accurately.
- Perform general clerical duties including filing, data entry, and photocopying.
- Prepare, compile, and present routine reports and correspondence as directed.
- Maintain and update records and databases with high attention to detail.
- Assist in organizing departmental events and community outreach activities.
- Follow all city policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred but not required).
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (varies by department).
- Willingness to learn and undergo on-the-job training.
