Responsibilities
- Assist the public with inquiries regarding city services, permits, and policies in a professional and courteous manner.
- Process and review incoming applications, documents, and correspondence with high attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical records for departmental files.
- Perform general office duties including data entry, filing, scheduling appointments, and answering multi-line telephones.
- Support senior staff by preparing meeting agendas, taking minutes, and drafting standard correspondence.
- Collaborate with various city departments to ensure smooth operational workflows.
- Monitor supply inventory and assist in ordering necessary office materials.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills (40+ WPM).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Valid Driver's License is a plus but not mandatory for all roles.
- Must be able to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
- Proactive attitude with a desire to learn and adapt to new tasks.
