Responsibilities
- Assist in the management, digitization, and archiving of vital public records and official documents.
- Process incoming applications, license renewals, and permits with a high degree of accuracy and strict adherence to state regulations.
- Support the office staff with administrative duties, including scheduling, correspondence, and meeting coordination.
- Conduct research on state statutes, laws, and regulations to provide accurate information to the public and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and update departmental databases and physical filing systems to ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Monitor and respond to internal and external communications in a professional, timely, and courteous manner.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for department leadership.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM) with a proven track record of data entry accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse populations and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to strict deadlines and government protocols.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
