Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to state employees via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and network connectivity.
- Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and security patches.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new workstations and peripherals.
- Maintain accurate records of all support tickets and incident reports.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to troubleshoot complex technical problems.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware components, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and network fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Willingness to undergo a background investigation and obtain a State of California Security Clearance.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
