Responsibilities
- Process pension enrollments, terminations, and benefit adjustments in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Maintain accurate participant records using county pension management systems
- Assist in preparing annual benefit statements and compliance reports
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pension benefits via phone, email, and secure portals
- Collaborate with auditors and legal teams during compliance reviews
- Support data entry and reconciliation of pension transactions
- Participate in cross-departmental training on pension policy updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- Basic knowledge of pension plans, ERISA, or retirement benefits
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in data handling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background check
- 1-2 years of administrative or finance experience preferred
