Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the processing of new pension applications and benefit claims for retired members.
- Review and verify member data for accuracy and compliance with government regulations.
- Respond to incoming inquiries regarding pension calculations and eligibility via email and phone.
- Update and maintain accurate records in the department's database systems.
- Collaborate with senior administrators to prepare monthly and quarterly reports.
- Perform data entry tasks to ensure the integrity of financial records.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration is a plus.
- Basic understanding of financial concepts, math, and data analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in data entry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
