Responsibilities
- Process and verify pension enrollment forms, contribution records, and retirement applications
- Analyze financial data to ensure compliance with ERISA, CalPERS regulations, and IRS guidelines
- Prepare monthly/quarterly reports on fund performance, investment allocations, and benefit projections
- Respond to participant inquiries regarding benefit calculations, vesting schedules, and retirement options
- Assist in annual actuarial valuations and benefit statement distributions
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical records in compliance with document retention policies
- Collaborate with investment and audit teams during compliance reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Strong attention to detail with ability to manage large datasets
- Basic understanding of pension fund structures and retirement plans
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required for government compliance
- 1-2 years of internship or work experience in finance/administration preferred
