Responsibilities
- Analyze pension fund data, financial reports, and actuarial valuations to ensure regulatory compliance
- Assist in calculating retirement benefits, contributions, and payment processing for public sector employees
- Support pension plan administration including member enrollment, record maintenance, and documentation
- Collaborate with investment teams to monitor fund performance and risk metrics
- Prepare quarterly/annual reports for state oversight agencies and legislative bodies
- Research pension legislation, industry best practices, and emerging trends
- Participate in audits and reviews to maintain fiduciary standards and operational integrity
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Public Administration, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in pension administration, financial analysis, or public sector accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Understanding of ERISA, GASB, or pension regulatory frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for sensitive financial data
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
