Responsibilities
- Assist in daily administration of state pension plans including enrollment, contribution tracking, and benefit calculations
- Process and verify retirement applications ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Maintain accurate participant records using specialized pension management software
- Respond to participant inquiries regarding retirement benefits, plan provisions, and claim procedures
- Support audit preparation by compiling documentation and reconciling financial data
- Collaborate with investment and legal teams to ensure regulatory compliance
- Generate reports for management and external stakeholders on plan performance
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Basic knowledge of retirement plan structures and ERISA regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with attention to detail in data entry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interactions
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background check for government clearance
