Responsibilities
- Process pension enrollment applications and member contributions with meticulous attention to detail
- Assist in calculating retirement benefits using specialized actuarial software
- Respond to member inquiries regarding pension policies, procedures, and account status
- Conduct data entry and maintain accurate pension records in compliance with federal/state regulations
- Support annual plan audits by preparing documentation and reconciling financial records
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to ERISA and Indiana pension laws
- Participate in cross-departmental projects to improve pension administration workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in pension administration, benefits, or financial services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Basic understanding of government retirement systems and ERISA regulations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data
- Valid U.S. driver's license and willingness to travel to state facilities as needed
