Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing pension plan documents for compliance with ERISA and IRS regulations
- Support data analysis of pension fund performance and participant demographics
- Coordinate with plan sponsors to resolve compliance discrepancies and reporting issues
- Prepare correspondence and educational materials for plan participants and fiduciaries
- Contribute to audit processes and regulatory examinations of pension plans
- Maintain accurate records of plan filings and regulatory correspondence
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve pension administration workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Basic knowledge of pension plan structures and retirement systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- U.S. citizenship required for federal position
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
- 1-2 years of relevant experience or internship preferred
