Responsibilities
- Assist in the processing and verification of pension benefit applications for eligible retirees.
- Update and maintain accurate employee pension records and beneficiary information in the state database.
- Provide exceptional customer service to retirees and employees regarding pension inquiries and account status.
- Prepare and distribute required pension documentation and correspondence.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources and Finance departments to ensure data accuracy.
- Monitor compliance with state and federal pension regulations.
- Conduct routine audits of pension files to identify discrepancies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- No prior experience in pensions or government required—we provide full training.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment and meet deadlines.
