Job Overview
In this position, you will assist in the processing and maintenance of pension records, ensuring compliance with state regulations and providing exceptional service to retirees and active employees.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the accurate data entry and maintenance of pension plan records and member accounts.
- Respond to inquiries from retirees and active state employees regarding pension benefits and eligibility.
- Review and verify documentation for pension contributions and withdrawals.
- Collaborate with senior administrators to ensure compliance with Michigan state government policies.
- Organize and file physical and digital documents to maintain an efficient filing system.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly reports and statistical summaries.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred but not mandatory.
- No prior experience required – we are looking for candidates eager to learn.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors in data and documentation.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
