Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts for state agencies
- Research best practices in public administration and policy implementation
- Prepare concise policy briefs and executive summaries for senior leadership
- Coordinate cross-departmental task force meetings and documentation
- Track federal/state legislative developments affecting Ohio communities
- Support data collection and analysis for program evaluation reports
- Assist in drafting agency strategic initiatives and implementation plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 0-2 years of relevant policy or administrative experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to synthesize complex information clearly
- Basic understanding of Ohio state government structure
- Valid Ohio driver's license (may be required for travel)
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required
