Responsibilities
- Perform high-volume data entry and document processing for tax-related inquiries with 99% accuracy.
- Manage incoming correspondence, including mail and electronic communications, ensuring timely distribution.
- Assist senior staff in organizing and maintaining both physical and digital filing systems.
- Answer general inquiries from the public regarding basic departmental procedures and guidelines.
- Prepare routine reports and summaries using standard office software (Word, Excel).
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with visitors and taxpayers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and office operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) is required.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex instructions precisely.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team.
- No prior government or clerical experience required; we look for potential and attitude.
