Responsibilities
- Assist in the processing of new pension enrollments, withdrawals, and benefit calculations.
- Review and verify member data for accuracy and compliance with state regulations.
- Respond to member inquiries regarding retirement benefits, vesting schedules, and account balances via email and phone.
- Update and maintain pension plan records in internal databases and financial systems.
- Collaborate with the actuarial team to ensure data integrity for long-term projections.
- Prepare routine reports and documentation required for state audits and compliance reviews.
- Provide exceptional customer service to government employees navigating the retirement process.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is a plus.
- 0-2 years of experience in administrative support, customer service, or data entry preferred.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial data.
