Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain compliance documentation for municipal wastewater and stormwater projects
- Conduct field inspections and regulatory audits to ensure adherence to federal/state environmental standards
- Prepare comprehensive environmental impact assessments and mitigation plans
- Coordinate with engineering teams to integrate sustainable design principles into infrastructure projects
- Manage stakeholder communications regarding regulatory requirements and compliance updates
- Lead training programs for staff on environmental regulations and best practices
- Track legislative changes and recommend policy adjustments to maintain compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in environmental compliance or regulatory affairs
- Expert knowledge of EPA, DEQ, and Oregon environmental regulations
- Strong proficiency in GIS mapping and environmental data analysis software
- Certified Environmental Compliance Manager (CECM) or equivalent preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a government setting
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean driving record
