Responsibilities
- Analyze complex environmental data and regulatory impacts to inform policy recommendations
- Develop and draft federal environmental regulations and executive orders
- Coordinate interagency policy initiatives and stakeholder engagement
- Conduct legislative analysis and prepare testimony for congressional hearings
- Oversee implementation of environmental justice initiatives
- Monitor emerging environmental trends and technologies for policy integration
- Lead cross-functional teams on environmental compliance programs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in environmental policy/regulatory affairs
- Expert knowledge of federal environmental laws (NEPA, CAA, CWA, RCRA)
- Proven ability to analyze complex data and draft regulatory documents
- Strong stakeholder engagement and interagency collaboration skills
- Experience with environmental justice program implementation
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
