Responsibilities
- Develop and implement environmental protection policies for North Carolina region
- Analyze environmental data to identify pollution sources and mitigation strategies
- Coordinate with state agencies and stakeholders on compliance initiatives
- Conduct site inspections and regulatory enforcement activities
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations for senior leadership
- Manage grant programs supporting local environmental projects
- Train staff on environmental regulations and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in environmental compliance or policy
- Knowledge of federal environmental regulations (Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act)
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Experience with GIS mapping software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- U.S. citizenship required
