Responsibilities
- Process veteran benefit applications and documentation with strict adherence to federal regulations
- Manage confidential records using VA's electronic systems (VBMS, VBA) ensuring data integrity
- Coordinate weekend patient scheduling and administrative workflows across departments
- Respond to veteran inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with empathy and professionalism
- Prepare official correspondence and reports following federal formatting standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and VA privacy protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 2 years administrative experience in federal/government environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and VA-specific systems (training provided)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
- Preferred: Veterans' preference eligibility or prior VA experience
