Responsibilities
- Manage veteran benefit applications with 99% accuracy using VA-specific systems
- Process weekly payroll documentation for 200+ federal employees
- Coordinate with regional agencies to ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Maintain confidential veteran records in accordance with HIPAA and VA protocols
- Generate monthly performance reports using advanced Excel functions
- Train new staff on federal administrative procedures and software
- Support outreach initiatives connecting veterans with local resources
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years federal administrative experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Knowledge of VA benefits systems and federal procurement processes
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error documentation history
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced federal environment
- U.S. citizenship and Kansas City residency preferred
