Responsibilities
- Manage federal grant programs ensuring compliance with VA regulations and OMB guidelines
- Develop and implement strategic outreach initiatives for veteran community engagement
- Analyze program performance metrics and prepare comprehensive impact reports for congressional stakeholders
- Coordinate interagency collaborations with NYC-based federal partners
- Lead crisis response protocols for urgent veteran assistance cases
- Oversee budget allocation for regional veteran support services
- Train staff on federal compliance requirements and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years federal program management experience
- Proficiency in federal grant management systems (e.g., MAX.gov)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in performance metrics reporting
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Experience with NYC veteran service organizations preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
