Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive safety audits of aircraft maintenance facilities and manufacturing operations
- Investigate aviation incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Develop and implement safety protocols compliant with FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 145)
- Collaborate with industry stakeholders to promote safety culture and best practices
- Prepare detailed technical reports and regulatory compliance documentation
- Provide safety training to aviation professionals and regulatory partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of aviation safety, maintenance, or regulatory experience
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred
- Proficiency in safety management systems (SMS) methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex technical data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
