Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veteran disability claims with 98% accuracy
- Interact directly with veterans and their families via secure communication channels
- Maintain strict compliance with federal regulations (38 CFR, VA directives)
- Utilize VBMS and VBA legacy systems for claims documentation
- Collaborate with medical examiners and legal teams on complex cases
- Generate monthly performance reports for department leadership
- Train temporary staff on claims processing protocols
Qualifications
- US Citizenship required
- Minimum 2 years federal claims processing experience
- Proficient in VBMS/VBA systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- VA Form 10-2850c certification or equivalent
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance within 30 days
- Knowledge of 38 CFR Part 3 and 4
- TS/SCI clearance preferred for complex cases
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification beneficial
