Responsibilities
- Monitor and implement federal regulatory compliance across VA facilities in Michigan
- Conduct comprehensive audits of healthcare programs and veteran services
- Develop compliance training materials for 200+ staff members
- Collaborate with DOJ and OIG on investigations and corrective actions
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for congressional oversight committees
- Lead cross-functional task forces addressing VA policy implementation
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA, FERPA, and federal procurement laws
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
- 5+ years federal compliance experience with VA, DoD, or HHS
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain Top Secret clearance)
- Expert knowledge of 38 CFR, VA directives, and federal acquisition regulations
- Advanced certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or equivalent
- Proven track record of leading regulatory change initiatives
- Exceptional analytical writing skills for policy documentation
- Experience with federal audit protocols (OIG, GAO, IG)
