Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits of federal program compliance with VA regulations (38 CFR)
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership and congressional oversight committees
- Collaborate with legal counsel to resolve regulatory violations within 48-hour response windows
- Train department staff on updated federal compliance protocols and documentation standards
- Monitor legislative changes affecting veteran services and implement policy adjustments
- Coordinate with OMB and GSA for procurement compliance verification
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in federal compliance or regulatory affairs
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency in federal procurement systems (FPDS-NG) and audit software
- Knowledge of Veterans' Preference regulations and EEO compliance standards
- Ability to manage competing deadlines with 100% audit accuracy
- US citizenship required
