Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal healthcare compliance regulations (HIPAA, VA directives)
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments for operational facilities
- Develop compliance training programs for 200+ staff members
- Investigate and resolve regulatory violations with corrective action plans
- Collaborate with legal counsel on policy updates and implementation
- Prepare quarterly compliance reports for senior leadership
- Lead cross-departmental compliance initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years federal compliance experience (VA experience preferred)
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) designation required
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and VA regulations
- Advanced proficiency in compliance management software (e.g., PowerDMS)
- Strong analytical skills with audit report development experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
