Responsibilities
- Enforce federal maritime safety regulations and conduct compliance audits at San Diego ports
- Coordinate with CBP, USCG, and international security partners on cross-border operations
- Investigate security incidents and prepare detailed compliance violation reports
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for cargo and vessel screening protocols
- Train federal staff on updated compliance procedures and DHS regulations
- Prepare congressional briefings on port security initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or related field
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Minimum 3 years federal regulatory compliance experience
- Proficiency in maritime security protocols (MTSA, ISPS Code)
- FEMA NIMS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends/holidays
- Valid California driver's license
