Responsibilities
- Supervise inmate activities and enforce institutional policies with unwavering professionalism
- Conduct regular security inspections, searches, and headcounts to maintain facility integrity
- Respond swiftly to emergencies, disturbances, and medical incidents with de-escalation expertise
- Escort inmates within the facility and during transportation with maximum safety protocols
- Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation for compliance with federal standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical, counseling, and administrative staff
- Participate in continuous training programs to enhance tactical skills and regulatory knowledge
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship with no felony convictions and clean criminal background
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass federal medical/psychological examinations
- High school diploma or GED with minimum 3 years security/law enforcement experience
- Physical fitness certification demonstrating ability to meet federal standards
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Fri-Sun) and holidays without exception
- Strong conflict resolution skills and emotional intelligence for high-stress environments
- Proficient in report writing and digital security systems (e.g., BOP databases)
- Completion of Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) preferred
