Responsibilities
- Patrol designated city zones during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM) to deter crime and respond to emergencies
- Investigate incidents, collect evidence, and file comprehensive incident reports
- Collaborate with specialized units (K9, SWAT, Traffic Enforcement) for coordinated operations
- Provide community outreach and crime prevention education in night-time hotspots
- Utilize advanced surveillance technology and real-time crime center resources
- Execute traffic stops and DUI enforcement during peak nighttime hours
- Maintain chain of custody for evidence collected during night shift operations
Qualifications
- Texas Peace Officer License (TCLEOSE) or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- U.S. citizenship and minimum 21 years of age
- Ability to pass rigorous physical fitness assessment and background check
- Associate's degree or 60 college credit hours (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention
- Proficiency in digital evidence collection and report writing software
- Flexibility to work rotating weekend and holiday shifts
