Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce institutional rules to ensure facility security
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and surveillance operations during weekend shifts
- Respond to emergencies and incidents using established protocols
- Document daily activities and maintain accurate incident reports
- Collaborate with medical, mental health, and rehabilitation staff
- Participate in continuous training programs for tactical and procedural updates
- Facilitate inmate movement and controlled transfers within the facility
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Minimum of 3 years law enforcement or corrections experience
- Successful completion of background investigation and polygraph
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
- Physical fitness certification for tactical operations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in emergency response and crisis intervention techniques
- Completion of Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) program
